Anderson Feed Company produces the NuZu brand feeds. The Stabul 1 and Stabul 1 Plus
Equine diets are formulated as low carbohydrate diets and may be fed to any mature horse. We produce our horse feeds with no molasses and we maintain less than 10% starch and sugar. A low-starch
and sugar diet helps to lessen the risk of starch overload thus less digestive problems such as colic or founder. A low-starch and sugar diet may be recommended for horses with certain health
conditions such as EPSM, Equine Metabolic Syndrome, Cushing’s and Laminitis. The Stabul 1 is a 12% protein with 2.5% fat, it is recommended for overweight horses and easy keepers.
Stabul 1 Plus is 14.5% protein with 5% fat, it is recommended for horses requiring additional calories to maintain weight. Both are made with high quality fermentable fiber from Soybean Hulls,
Beet Pulp and Alfalfa which provides additional calories in a safe form. Yeast culture has also been added to support microbial fermentation in the hind-gut. Added fat from vegetable oil increases
energy density and helps maintain body condition, skin and hair. Flaxseed provides Omega 3 fatty acids which boosts the immune system and can help regulate thyroid functions, making it an ideal supplement
for metabolic horses as well as aging horses. With added Amino Acids we have guaranteed Lysine and Methionine to ensure quality protein for muscle tissue. Both feeds maintain lower levels of Iron to
help with Iron overload. The Stabul products are to be fed at the rate of 0.5 to 2.0 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight depending on the horse’s age, condition, and performance level along
with good quality forage.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS
For easy keeper horses feed Stabul 1 at the rate of 0.5 to 2.0 pounds per 100 pounds body weight depending on horse age, condition, performance level, and
reproductive status along with good quality roughage. Provide fresh clean water, and salt free-choice.
For over-weight horses requiring dietary restrictions, feed Stabul 1 along with good quality roughage with low dietary starch, sugar, and fructans. Consult a professional
nutritionist or a veterinarian for a recommended feeding program.
It is recommended that feed changes be made gradually.
Stabul 1 has less than 10% dietary starch and sugars (ethanol soluble sugars) as analyzed by Equi-analytical, Ithaca, NY.
